ZUZANA & DAVE
Based in London, much of the planning for Zuzana & Dave's wedding was via email with a catch up meeting before the Big Day. Their initial plans were to have a larger wedding but due to restrictions the day became more intimate.
The location for the ceremony was the Bandstand at Magdalen Green which was simply decorated with Oriental lilies (Zuzana's favourite flowers) and trails of ivy attached to the pillars. The ivy decor continued with trails dressing the chiavari chairs on the aisle.
The reception took place at the Malmaison Hotel Dundee. With a rather large function suite to fill we created staged areas of interest within the room. This included rustic settings of foliage filled milk churns set upon wooden crates, a selection of terrariums and lanterns upon logs and finishing touches of ferns and moss. These staged settings split the area between the guest tables and the dance floor for the couples first dance, adding a splash of natural colour against the grey decor of the room
To the rear corner and using our industrial Hoxton Arch we suspended floral designs from the frame with photos supplied from the couple to create a backdrop and memory wall. Set to the opposite side was a little tepee and activity corner to keep the children occupied.
Dressing the guest table were large floral designs with a central geometric terrarium that was supplied by FiftySix Events. An elongated form of the design was created for the top table using the same gorgeous mix of lilies, dahlias, roses and hydrangeas in shades of pinks and reds.
We loved the traditional elements that Zuzana included in her day which embraced her heritage. This included a smashing of the plate ritual after the wedding, the plate, the broom and dust pan had the most beautiful hand painted detailing in colours to match the wedding colour scheme.
FiftySix Events supplied the geometric terrariums, wooden crates, churns and candle lanterns that were used within the wedding decor.
